Procedures/Policies
We want to ensure that your pet’s boarding experience is as pleasant as possible for you and your pet. We have designed our facilities and trained our pet care staff in order to provide the quality of care that they deserve and you expect. To facilitate these efforts we have adopted the following procedures and policies. By signing our Canine Check-In Form, you are acknowledging that you have read and understand our procedures and policies.
PERSONAL ITEMS
Blankets, toys, etc. will be used as you request, but please understand that these items may become soiled or damaged during your pet’s stay with us. Although we make every effort to care for these items we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.
Any large items that may become wet or soiled during your pets stay may be unable to fit into our washing machine. These items will be bagged and returned to you dirty.
FOOD
We provide Hill’s Science Diet Sensitive Stomach Formula to your pet at no additional charge. If your pet has any history of an upset stomach from diet change, we strongly recommend you bringing your pets’ food. We ask that the food be brought in a sealed container. We ask that no food bags larger than 10lbs. are brought, due to possible spoilage.
PET VACCINATION POLICY
We at CCVRS, Inc. are committed to do everything possible to insure the health and safety of pets in our care. For that reason, all pets entering the clinic and resort must be current on select preventive health care. This includes no internal or external parasites and must have received a physical exam by a licensed veterinarian within the prior year. Dogs must be a minimum 7-days current on their annual Rabies and DHPP, a negative fecal (every 6 months) and booster for Bordatella must be current within the last 6 months. Cats must be a minimum 7-days current on their yearly Rabies and FVRCP, and a negative fecal within the last 6 months. Cats must also have negative AIDS and Leukemia test results on file. Pets not current on any of the above will be treated at the owner’s expense and cannot be allowed into daycamp, and will receive leash walks only for that stay. Dogs and cats with fleas or ticks will be given appropriate treatment at the owner’s expense.
IF YOU OBTAIN YOUR VACCINES AT ANOTHER VETERINARY HOSPITAL, AND WE ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN VERIFICATION OF THESE VACCINES BY 5:00PM (12:00PM ON SATURDAY) ON THE DAY THAT YOU DROP OFF YOUR PET, WE WILL VACCINATE YOUR PET PER OUR HOSPITAL POLICY AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE. If the preceding is true for a canine, for every “suitees” safety, he/she cannot be a part of daycamp during this initial stay or may not be able to stay this visit. If your pet was vaccinated at a mobile clinic, we are unable to call and get the records, therefore; the records must be forwarded to us by fax, email, or mail prior to your pet arriving. Failure to do this may result with your reservation being cancelled.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
We must be informed of any medical conditions/surgical history your pet may have. We will administer medications to your pet at your request for no additional fee. We will also use your medications or provide a new prescription (at our normal cost) if you wish. All medication must be in its original container with printed instructions.
PROLONGED BOARDING
Animals left with us for more than 30 days past the prearranged departure date (unless we are otherwise notified) must be considered abandoned. We will make every effort to locate the owner before considering the animal abandoned. We reserve the right to handle abandoned animals in accordance with current laws.
DAYCAMP PROGRAM
Those that electively choose to be a part of the daycamp program understand that dogs will play with each other a lot and, at times, play is rough. CCVRS, Inc. makes every effort to offer proper supervision and properly screen dogs and owners prior to allowing a dog to be part of the daycamp program. Dogs not used to regular exercise will have a lot of fun but will get tired. Blisters can occur on dog’s feet just like humans who do not exercise regularly. By signing this form you acknowledge you want your dog in daycamp and understand the preceding and that your dog may experience rough play resulting in possible injury. CCVRS, Inc is held harmless in such an event but is authorized to treat, care for and will disclose to you if any situation occurs.
AFTER HOURS PICK-UP
We do have “after hours” pick-up available on Sunday from 3-6PM as described above. If you wish to pick your animal up on Sunday, you must pre-pay for the entire stay at the time you drop off your pet. You will also incur a half day of daycamp charge (see rate sheet) for Sunday afternoon pick-up. We will take a payment at drop-off and close your bill, with a printed invoice upon your departure.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Our suites are in high demand with many clients booking weeks in advance. If you need to cancel your reservation for boarding, you must contact us within 48 hours of your reservation. We will provide a cancellation email at your request when you call and cancel. If you do not cancel the Reservation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to charge you up to three nights of your scheduled stay.
NO SHOW POLICY
If client/pet does not cancel or show for a reservation, a charge will be applied for the length of the reservation or three days (maximum charge) at the rate of the unit reserved, whichever is the least.
EARLY PICK UP
If you wish to pick your pet up prior to the scheduled pick up date, you must call the resort to inform us of this change. This is especially important if your pet has a complimentary or paid bath scheduled at our spa. We do require 48 hours notice of all early picks ups or you will be charged for the extent of the reservations or three days (maximum charge).
EXTENSION
If a client wishes to extend a reservation once a pet is here, the regular charge for the unit will be applied, if we have a suite available. If that suite is unavailable, and no other suites are available, the pet must board in the clinic/grooming area at clinic rates.
LEASH/CARRIERS
All animals must be brought to the resort on a leash or in a carrier. This is for the safety of the animal and our staff members.
COMPLIMENTARY BATH/PAID BATH
If your pet stays with us for 5 nights or more, he/she is entitled to a complimentary bath at the end of their stay. If your pets stay is less than five nights, and a paid bath is requested, our staff members will give you the choice of a standard or a deluxe bath. The cost of the bath will be listed on your estimate at check-in. Once your pet is bathed, he/she will not go out to “camp” unless otherwise requested, for the remainder of the stay. Most baths are performed late afternoon the day before check-out, if your pet is checking out before lunch. If your pet is checking out after 2:00pm, the bath will be done the morning of checkout.
AGGRESSIVE ANIMALS
If a dog is too aggressive towards our staff while at the resort they may not be permitted to stay. We will need an emergency contact on file. An extra charge may be incurred if special handling is required when your pet stays with us. Most problems should be addressed in the interview/temperament evaluation. We have the right to call the emergency contact and have the dog/cat go home with them in the event of aggression or extreme stress situations as determined by CCVRS, Inc.
SPAY/NEUTER POLICY
All intact male and female dogs older than 7 months will not be allowed to be a part of the daycamp program. CCVRS will not board intact male cats.
SICK ANIMALS
All animals that are sick or become sick or injured while boarding with us (including stress related illnesses such as cough and diarrhea) will be treated at the owner’s expense and may be required to stay in our clinic for normal clinical fees. You will be contacted by a staff manager prior to any treatment being given, except in an emergency situation. If you are not able to be reached at the emergency contact left at check-in, we will treat your pet if medically necessary at your expense.
